Just Quilting Class List – Spring 2014

We are happy to set out the list for our Spring Classes. This is just the first set and we have more to follow. Watch this space!

Places on the courses can be booked by phone ( 0191 2688144). A £10 deposit will secure your place. Please call if you require any additional information.

Saturday 5th April - “Take One Jelly Roll” with Hazel Dent

On this class you will make an amazing amount of items from one jelly roll. Use up that roll from your stash.

Saturday 12th April - French Sewing Tidy

Doreen has charmed us with this beautiful sewing hanger to display in the sewing room. Our sample is made up in French General fabrics and linen. Or choose your own to match your decor.

Saturday 19th April – Beginners Day

Book in for a half-day session to get started on any project you wish.

Saturday 26th April - “Three Bags in a Day” with Margaret Convery

Margaret’s classes are always so popular. This time she has designed

Saturday 3rd May - “ New York Beauty”

Following many requests for another session of this lovely technique we have given in. Learn how to make this block to make a pillow or take it further to add to a quilt.

Saturday May 10th - Stitchery Roll

Make a stitched roll to house your stitcheries or blocks. You will need to complete the stitchery prior to the class or you could do the appliqué version on the day.

Saturday 17th May - Start Your First Quilt

Need to take the plunge to get your first quilt started? Choose from two simple styles which use fat quarters.

Saturday 24th May - “Three Bags in a Day”

Another chance to do Margaret’s popular class.

Saturday 31st May - Flying Geese

Learn this technique and then some. Lots of variation on this simple piece. A good scrap buster!

Saturday 7th June - Foundation Pieced Cushion with Elaine Proffit

Another chance to do this really popular class. Kits available or use your own fabrics.
